Potential scopes include manual or automatic start, mains-failure operation, monitoring, alarms, protection, remote communication and application-specific sequencing.

02 · Synchronising & load sharing

Multi-source control needs a complete system view.

Selected applications may involve generator-to-generator or generator-to-mains synchronising, load sharing, breaker control, protection and power-management logic. The switchgear, CT/VT arrangement, breaker interface, protection philosophy and operating sequence must be reviewed together.

Electronic fuel and engine-speed control.

Control power designed around the electrical requirement.

Controller power is more than a nominal voltage. The supply must suit the controller, load profile, start and crank conditions, protection, grounding, terminals, enclosure and operating environment.

05 · Replacement & retrofit

Replace the function—not just the faceplate.

An obsolete or unavailable controller may require a same-family replacement, a migration to another model, an interface module, rewiring, panel modification or a wider control upgrade. The safest path depends on the existing design and documentation.
